In Hong Kong the ship leaves without Passepartout, and Fogg must cross a stormy sea in a tiny boat to catch up in Shanghai.

Xiānggǎng dào le. Hǎibiān yǒu hěn duō dàchuán hé xiǎochuán, shānshàng yǒu yì céng yì céng de fángzi.
They reached Hong Kong. The harbor was full of big ships and small boats, and houses climbed the hills in layers.
- Aouda 福格先生，我的亲戚已经不在香港了。他们上个月去了欧洲。
Fúgé xiānsheng, wǒ de qīnqī yǐjīng bú zài Xiānggǎng le. Tāmen shàng gè yuè qù le Ōuzhōu.
Mr. Fogg, my relatives are no longer in Hong Kong. They left for Europe last month.
- Phileas Fogg 那你想去哪儿？
Nà nǐ xiǎng qù nǎr?

Ōuzhōu yě shì wǒmen yào huíqù de dìfang. Àidá fūrén, qǐng nǐ hé wǒmen yìqǐ qù Lúndūn.
Europe is where we are going back to as well. Lady Aouda, please come with us to London.
- Aouda 福格先生，我会永远记住您的好。
Fúgé xiānsheng, wǒ huì yǒngyuǎn jìzhù nín de hǎo.
Mr. Fogg, I will always remember your kindness.
- Phileas Fogg 不用谢。路路通，你去问一问，去横滨的大船，今天晚上几点开？
Búyòng xiè. Lùlùtōng, nǐ qù wèn yi wèn, qù Héngbīn de dàchuán, jīntiān wǎnshang jǐ diǎn kāi?
No need to thank me. Passepartout, go and ask what time the ship to Yokohama leaves tonight.
- Passepartout 是，先生！我马上就去，一会儿就回来！
Shì, xiānsheng! Wǒ mǎshàng jiù qù, yíhuìr jiù huílái!
Yes, sir! I'll go right now and be back in a moment!
- Detective Fix 路路通！这么巧，我们又见面了！来，喝一杯香港的热茶吧，我请客！
Lùlùtōng! Zhème qiǎo, wǒmen yòu jiànmiàn le! Lái, hē yì bēi Xiānggǎng de rèchá ba, wǒ qǐngkè!
Passepartout! What luck, we meet again! Come, have a cup of hot Hong Kong tea, my treat!
- Passepartout 可是先生要我早点回去……
Kěshì xiānsheng yào wǒ zǎodiǎn huíqù…
But sir told me to come back early...
- Detective Fix 就喝一杯。这里的茶是最好的，还有很甜的酒。你在船上一定没有喝过。
Jiù hē yì bēi. Zhèlǐ de chá shì zuìhǎo de, háiyǒu hěn tián de jiǔ. Nǐ zài chuánshàng yídìng méiyǒu hē guò.
Just one cup. The tea here is the best, and there's sweet wine too. You surely never had this on the ship.
- Passepartout 甜酒？好吧，我只喝一点点。
Tiánjiǔ? Hǎo ba, wǒ zhǐ hē yìdiǎndiǎn.
Sweet wine? Well, I'll only have a little.
- Detective Fix 喝吧，喝吧。今天晚上大船会提前开。我要他们走不了。
Hē ba, hē ba. Jīntiān wǎnshang dàchuán huì tíqián kāi. Wǒ yào tāmen zǒu bù liǎo.
Drink, drink. Tonight the big ship will leave early. I want them stuck here.
- Passepartout 费克斯先生……这酒……我的头好晕……
Fèikèsī xiānsheng… Zhè jiǔ… Wǒ de tóu hǎo yūn…
Mr. Fix... this wine... my head is spinning...
- Passepartout 我的表……不会错……时间……还早……
Wǒ de biǎo… Búhuìcuò… Shíjiān… Hái zǎo…
My watch... is never wrong... the time... is early...
- Detective Fix 睡吧，路路通。你的主人，会等不到你。
Shuì ba, Lùlùtōng. Nǐ de zhǔrén, huì děng bú dào nǐ.
Sleep, Passepartout. Your master will wait for you in vain.
- Narrator 半夜，大船提前开走了。福格找不到路路通，只找到一条小快船。
Bànyè, dàchuán tíqián kāizǒu le. Fúgé zhǎo bú dào Lùlùtōng, zhǐ zhǎodào yì tiáo xiǎo kuàichuán.
At midnight the big ship sailed early. Fogg could not find Passepartout, only a small fast boat.
- Phileas Fogg 船长，我要尽快去上海。你的船能开多快？
Chuánzhǎng, wǒ yào jǐnkuài qù Shànghǎi. Nǐ de chuán néng kāi duō kuài?
Captain, I need to reach Shanghai as fast as I can. How fast can your boat go?
- The Pilot-Boat Captain 先生，我的小船是海上最快的！可是今晚的天气，不太好，浪会很大。
Xiānsheng, wǒ de xiǎochuán shì hǎishàng zuì kuài de! Kěshì jīnwǎn de tiānqì, bú tài hǎo, làng huì hěn dà.
Sir, my little boat is the fastest on the sea! But the weather tonight is not so good, and the waves will be big.
- Phileas Fogg 你要多少钱？
Nǐ yào duōshao qián?
How much do you want?
- The Pilot-Boat Captain 每天一百英镑。如果我们准时到上海，再加五百五十英镑！
Měitiān yìbǎi yīngbàng. Rúguǒ wǒmen zhǔnshí dào Shànghǎi, zài jiā wǔbǎi wǔshí yīngbàng!
A hundred pounds a day. And if we reach Shanghai on time, five hundred fifty more!
- Phileas Fogg 好。开船。
Hǎo. Kāichuán.
Deal. Set sail.
- Aouda 福格先生，这些浪好大！我们会不会……
Fúgé xiānsheng, zhè xiē làng hǎo dà! Wǒmen huì búhuì…
Mr. Fogg, these waves are so big! Will we...
- Phileas Fogg 艾达夫人，请抓紧栏杆，不要看海。有这位船长在，我们不会有事。
Àidá fūrén, qǐng zhuājǐn lángān, búyào kàn hǎi. Yǒu zhè wèi chuánzhǎng zài, wǒmen búhuì yǒushì.
Lady Aouda, hold on tight to the rail and don't look at the sea. With this captain, we'll be all right.
- The Pilot-Boat Captain 大风来了！收帆！大家抓紧了！
Dàfēng lái le! Shōufān! Dàjiā zhuājǐn le!
Big wind coming! Take in the sail! Everyone hold on!
- The Pilot-Boat Captain 看！前面就是黄浦江口！那边的灯，就是上海的外滩！
Kàn! Qiánmiàn jiùshì Huángpǔ Jiāng kǒu! Nàbiān de dēng, jiùshì Shànghǎi de Wàitān!
Look! Ahead is the mouth of the Huangpu River! Those lights are the Bund of Shanghai!
- Aouda 我们到了！福格先生，您真是一位不怕风浪的人，我从来没有见过。
Wǒmen dào le! Fúgé xiānsheng, nín zhēnshì yí wèi bú pà fēnglàng de rén, wǒ cónglái méiyǒu jiàn guò.
We made it! Mr. Fogg, you are a man who isn't afraid of wind or waves. I've never met anyone like you.
- Phileas Fogg 还有一点时间。去横滨的大船，应该还没有开。
Háiyǒu yì diǎn shíjiān. Qù Héngbīn de dàchuán, yīnggāi hái méiyǒu kāi.
We have a little time. The big ship to Yokohama should not have left yet.
- Aouda 福格先生，可是路路通没有和我们在一起。他会在哪儿？
Fúgé xiānsheng, kěshì Lùlùtōng méiyǒu hé wǒmen zài yìqǐ. Tā huì zài nǎr?
But Mr. Fogg, Passepartout isn't with us. Where could he be?
- Phileas Fogg 路路通……你到底在哪儿？
Lùlùtōng… Nǐ dàodǐ zài nǎr?
Passepartout... where on earth are you?
