Race Against the Sun
和太阳赛跑
Mina waits in a circle of holy bread while her friends race a wagon up a mountain road. Sunset is minutes away, and the Count's last box must be opened before dark.

- Narrator 雪山脚下，太阳快要落山了。范海辛在雪地上画了一个大圆圈，撒上圣饼。
Xuěshān jiǎoxià, tàiyáng kuài yào luòshān le. Fàn Hǎixīn zài xuědì shàng huà le yí gè dà yuánquān, sā shàng shèngbǐng.
At the foot of the snowy mountains the sun was about to set. Van Helsing drew a large circle in the snow and scattered holy bread on it.
- Professor Van Helsing 米娜夫人，请坐在圆圈中间，不管听到什么，都不要出来。
Mǐnà fūrén, qǐng zuò zài yuánquān zhōngjiān, bùguǎn tīngdào shénme, dōu búyào chūlái.
Madam Mina, please sit in the middle of the circle. Whatever you hear, do not come out.
- Mina 我不怕，教授。我只是很担心乔纳森他们。
Wǒ bú pà, jiàoshòu. Wǒ zhǐshì hěn dānxīn Qiáonàsēn tāmen.
I'm not afraid, Professor. I'm only very worried about Jonathan and the others.

I can hear their footsteps. They're right behind the trees, watching us.
- Professor Van Helsing 让它们看吧。我手里有十字架。吸血鬼和狼都不敢过来。
Ràng tāmen kàn ba. Wǒ shǒu lǐ yǒu shízìjià. Xīxuèguǐ hé láng dōu bù gǎn guòlái.
Let them watch. I have the cross in my hand. Neither vampire nor wolf dares come.
- Mina 谢谢您一直保护我，教授。我有时候觉得，伯爵一个人住了这么久，也很孤单。
Xièxie nín yìzhí bǎohù wǒ, jiàoshòu. Wǒ yǒushíhou juéde, bójué yí gè rén zhù le zhème jiǔ, yě hěn gūdān.
Thank you for always protecting me, Professor. Sometimes I think the Count has lived alone for so long, and must be lonely.
- Professor Van Helsing 你的心真好，孩子。可是这一次，我们一定要做完。
Nǐ de xīn zhēn hǎo, háizi. Kěshì zhè yí cì, wǒmen yídìng yào zuò wán.
You have a good heart, child. But this time, we must finish it.
- Mina 你看！山路上有一辆马车，后面有好几匹马跑得很快！
Nǐ kàn! Shānlù shàng yǒu yí liàng mǎchē, hòumiàn yǒu hǎo jǐ pǐ mǎ pǎo de hěn kuài!
Look! There's a wagon on the mountain road, and several horses racing after it!
- Professor Van Helsing 是伯爵的箱子，还有我们的朋友！太阳快落山了，孩子们，快一点！
Shì bójué de xiāngzi, háiyǒu wǒmen de péngyou! Tàiyáng kuài luòshān le, háizimen, kuài yìdiǎn!
It's the Count's box, and our friends! The sun is nearly down. Hurry, my children!
- Jonathan Harker 快！太阳快下山了，我们一定要在天黑以前追上它！
Kuài! Tàiyáng kuài xiàshān le, wǒmen yídìng yào zài tiānhēi yǐqián zhuī shàng tā!
Faster! The sun is almost down. We must catch it before dark!
- Quincey Morris 别担心，乔纳森！我的马跑起来像德克萨斯的风！
Bié dānxīn, Qiáonàsēn! Wǒ de mǎ pǎo qǐlái xiàng Dékèsàsī de fēng!
Don't worry, Jonathan! My horse runs like the Texas wind!
- Arthur 前面的马车旁边有好多人在保护箱子！他们不让我们过去！
Qiánmiàn de mǎchē pángbiān yǒu hǎo duō rén zài bǎohù xiāngzi! Tāmen bú ràng wǒmen guòqù!
There are lots of men around the wagon guarding the box! They won't let us through!
- Quincey Morris 那就让他们看看德克萨斯人怎么骑马！亚瑟，你跟着我！
Nà jiù ràng tāmen kànkan dékèsàsīrén zěnme qímǎ! Yàsè, nǐ gēn zhe wǒ!
Then let them see how a Texan rides! Arthur, follow me!
- Jonathan Harker 太阳只剩下一点儿了！我要跳上马车！
Tàiyáng zhǐ shèng xià yìdiǎnr le! Wǒ yào tiào shàng mǎchē!
There's only a sliver of the sun left! I'm jumping onto the wagon!
- Arthur 小心，乔纳森！下面就是山谷！
Xiǎoxīn, Qiáonàsēn! Xiàmiàn jiù shì shān'gǔ!
Careful, Jonathan! The gorge is right below!
- Jonathan Harker 我抓住箱子了！昆西，快来帮我！
Wǒ zhuā zhù xiāngzi le! Kūnxī, kuài lái bāng wǒ!
I've got the box! Quincey, help me, quick!
- Quincey Morris 我来了！啊……我受伤了。不要紧，别停！
Wǒ lái le! A… wǒ shòushāng le. Búyàojǐn, bié tíng!
I'm coming! Ah... I'm hurt. It's nothing, don't stop!
- Arthur 昆西！你还好吗？
Kūnxī! Nǐ hái hǎo ma?
Quincey! Are you all right?
- Quincey Morris 我没事，朋友。把盖子打开！快！
Wǒ méishì, péngyou. Bǎ gàizi dǎkāi! Kuài!
I'm fine, my friend. Open the lid! Quick!
- Jonathan Harker 盖子开了！箱子里……是他。他的眼睛睁着。
Gàizi kāi le! Xiāngzi lǐ… shì tā. Tā de yǎnjing zhēngzhe.
The lid is open! In the box... it's him. His eyes are open.
- Count Dracula 哈克先生……你们不该来这里。
Hākè xiānsheng… nǐmen bù gāi lái zhèlǐ.
Mr. Harker... you should not have come here.
- Quincey Morris 太阳来了！你们看，最后一道光照到他了！
Tàiyáng lái le! Nǐmen kàn, zuìhòu yí dào guāng zhào dào tā le!
The sun has come! Look, the last ray of light has touched him!
- Narrator 最后一道红光落在箱子上。伯爵变成了灰，被山风吹走了。
Zuìhòu yí dào hóngguāng luò zài xiāngzi shàng. Bójué biànchéng le huī, bèi shānfēng chuīzǒu le.
The last red ray fell on the box. The Count turned to ash, and the mountain wind blew him away.
- Jonathan Harker 结束了……他不见了。米娜自由了！
Jiéshù le… tā bú jiàn le. Mǐnà zìyóu le!
It's over... he's gone. Mina is free!
- Quincey Morris 乔纳森……我的朋友，我没有白来。你们看，夕阳多美啊。
Qiáonàsēn… wǒ de péngyou, wǒ méiyǒu báilái. Nǐmen kàn, xīyáng duō měi a.
Jonathan... my friend, I did not come for nothing. Look, how beautiful the sunset is.
- Arthur 昆西？昆西！他笑着闭上了眼睛。他是我们最勇敢的朋友。
Kūnxī? Kūnxī! Tā xiào zhe bì shàng le yǎnjing. Tā shì wǒmen zuì yǒnggǎn de péngyou.
Quincey? Quincey! He closed his eyes with a smile. He was our bravest friend.
- Mina 一年过去了。乔纳森，你看今天的玫瑰开得多好！宝宝在对你笑呢。
Yì nián guòqù le. Qiáonàsēn, nǐ kàn jīntiān de méiguī kāi de duō hǎo! Bǎobao zài duì nǐ xiào ne.
A year has passed. Jonathan, look how well the roses are blooming today! The baby is smiling at you.
- Jonathan Harker 他像你，也像昆西，一样爱笑。我们给他起了昆西的名字。
Tā xiàng nǐ, yě xiàng Kūnxī, yíyàng ài xiào. Wǒmen gěi tā qǐ le Kūnxī de míngzi.
He's like you, and like Quincey, always laughing. We gave him Quincey's name.
- Professor Van Helsing 小昆西。你好，小勇士！你的名字是一位朋友给你的礼物。
Xiǎo Kūnxī. Nǐhǎo, xiǎo yǒngshì! Nǐ de míngzi shì yí wèi péngyou gěi nǐ de lǐwù.
Little Quincey. Hello, little hero! Your name is a gift from a friend.
- Mina 教授，您看，他抓住您的手指了！
Jiàoshòu, nín kàn, tā zhuā zhù nín de shǒuzhǐ le!
Professor, look, he's holding your finger!
- Professor Van Helsing 哈哈，他的手真有力气！以后他一定和他的名字一样勇敢。
Hāhā, tā de shǒu zhēn yǒu lìqi! Yǐhòu tā yídìng hé tā de míngzi yíyàng yǒnggǎn.
Ha, he has such a strong grip! One day he will be as brave as his name.
- Jonathan Harker 米娜，我有时候还会梦见那座城堡。
Mǐnà, wǒ yǒushíhou hái huì mèngjiàn nà zuò chéngbǎo.
Mina, I still dream about that castle sometimes.
- Mina 我也是。可是每次醒来，我看见你，就不怕了。
Wǒ yě shì. Kěshì měi cì xǐng lái, wǒ kànjiàn nǐ, jiù bú pà le.
Me too. But every time I wake up and see you, I'm not afraid.
- Jonathan Harker 现在那座城堡只剩下雪和风。我们的故事，有了一个好结局。

Now the castle is nothing but snow and wind. Our story has had a happy ending.
