- Heidi 克拉拉，我也不想走。可是我太想爷爷了。
Kèlālā, wǒ yě bù xiǎng zǒu. Kěshì wǒ tài xiǎng yéye le.
Clara, I don't want to go either. But I miss Grandfather so much.
- Clara ……我知道。我会想你的。
… Wǒ zhīdào. Wǒ huì xiǎng nǐ de.
...I know. I'll miss you.
- Heidi 我会给你写信。我还会给你带山上的花。
Wǒ huì gěi nǐ xiěxìn. Wǒ hái huì gěi nǐ dài shānshàng de huā.
I'll write you letters. And I'll send you flowers from the mountain.
- Clara 明年夏天，我去看你！好吗？
Míngnián xiàtiān, wǒ qù kàn nǐ! Hǎo ma?
Next summer I'll come and see you! All right?
- Heidi 真的？你要来山上？
Zhēnde? Nǐ yào lái shānshàng?
Really? You'd come up the mountain?
- Clara 真的！医生说，山上的水和羊奶都很好。
Zhēnde! Yīshēng shuō, shānshàng de shuǐ hé yángnǎi dōu hěn hǎo.
Really! The doctor says the water and the goat's milk up there are very good.
- Heidi 我给你喝羊奶！还有干草床！
Wǒ gěi nǐ hē yángnǎi! Háiyǒu gāncǎo chuáng!
I'll give you goat's milk! And a hay bed!
- Clara 还有山羊！
Háiyǒu shānyáng!

Grandfather, are you crying?
- Grandfather 没有。是风。今天风很大。
Méiyǒu. Shì fēng. Jīntiān fēng hěn dà.
No. It's the wind. It's very windy today.
- Peter 海蒂？！你真的回来了！我的山羊都想你！
Hǎidì?! Nǐ zhēnde huílái le! Wǒ de shānyáng dōu xiǎng nǐ!
Heidi?! You really came back! My goats missed you!
- Heidi 彼得！克拉拉说，夏天她会来山上！
Bǐdé! Kèlālā shuō, xiàtiān tā huì lái shānshàng!
Peter! Clara says she'll come up the mountain in summer!
- Peter 她要来？……她来了，海蒂就不和我玩了。
