Mén yì kāi, nǐ jiù gēn wǒ jìnqù!
The moment the gate opens, you charge in with me!
- Narrator 门里边，一百个鬼正在大吃大喝。山鸡飞了下去！
Mén lǐbian, yìbǎi gè guǐ zhèngzài dà chī dà hē. Shānjī fēi le xiàqù!
Behind the gate, a hundred ogres were in the middle of a great feast. Down swooped the pheasant!
- The Pheasant 坏鬼们，看上边！我飞得高，你们打不到我！
Huài guǐmen, kàn shàngbian! Wǒ fēi de gāo, nǐmen dǎ bú dào wǒ!
Hey, you wicked ogres, look up here! I fly high, and you can't touch me!
- The Ogre King 一只鸟？快打它！快打它！
Yì zhī niǎo? Kuài dǎ tā! Kuài dǎ tā!
A bird? Get it! Get it!
- The Monkey 门开了！桃太郎，快进来！
Mén kāi le! Táo Tàiláng, kuài jìnlái!
The gate's open! Momotaro, get in here, quick!
- The Dog 汪！汪！汪！我来了！
Wāng! Wāng! Wāng! Wǒ lái le!
Woof! Woof! Woof! Here I come!
- The Ogre King 别跑！一只狗，一只猴子，一只鸟，你们怕什么？
Bié pǎo! Yì zhī gǒu, yì zhī hóuzi, yì zhī niǎo, nǐmen pà shénme?
Stop running! It's only a dog, a monkey and a bird! What are you scared of?
- Momotaro 还有我！我是桃太郎！你们拿了大家的米和钱，今天我要拿回去！
Hái yǒu wǒ! Wǒ shì Táo Tàiláng! Nǐmen ná le dàjiā de mǐ hé qián, jīntiān wǒ yào ná huíqù!
And me! I am Momotaro! You took everyone's rice and money, and today I'm taking it back!
- The Ogre King 哈哈，小孩子！看我的大铁棒！
Hāhā, xiǎo háizi! Kàn wǒ de dà tiěbàng!
Ha ha, little boy! Here comes my big iron club!
- Narrator 大铁棒打了下来。桃太郎用一只手，就接住了它！
Dà tiěbàng dǎ le xiàlái. Táo Tàiláng yòng yì zhī shǒu, jiù jiēzhù le tā!
Down came the club, and Momotaro caught it with just one hand!
- The Ogre King 什么？！你的力气，怎么这么大？
Shénme?! Nǐ de lìqi, zěnme zhème dà?
What?! How can you be so strong?
- Momotaro 我吃了十碗饭！
Wǒ chī le shí wǎn fàn!
I had ten bowls of rice!
- The Ogre King 别打了！别打了！我们不打了！
Bié dǎ le! Bié dǎ le! Wǒmen bù dǎ le!
Stop! Stop! We give up!
- The Monkey 哈哈！你们看，鬼大王哭了！
Hāhā! Nǐmen kàn, Guǐ Dàwáng kū le!
Ha ha! Look, everyone, the Ogre King is crying!
- Momotaro 好了！大家都别打了。鬼大王，你们以后还来拿东西吗？
Hǎo le! Dàjiā dōu bié dǎ le. Guǐ Dàwáng, nǐmen yǐhòu hái lái ná dōngxi ma?
That's enough! Everyone, stop fighting. Ogre King, will you ever come and take people's things again?
- The Ogre King 不来了！不来了！东西都还给你们！
Bù lái le! Bù lái le! Dōngxi dōu huán gěi nǐmen!
Never! Never again! You can have it all back!
- The Monkey 你们看！这么多金子！还有大家的米！
Nǐmen kàn! Zhème duō jīnzi! Hái yǒu dàjiā de mǐ!
Look at this! So much gold! And everybody's rice!
- The Dog 那……这里有团子吗？
Nà… zhèlǐ yǒu tuánzi ma?
So… are there any dumplings here?
- Narrator 桃太郎和朋友们坐船回家了。大家都拿回了自己的东西。
Táo Tàiláng hé péngyoumen zuò chuán huí jiā le. Dàjiā dōu ná huí le zìjǐ de dōngxi.
Momotaro and his friends sailed home, and everyone got back what the ogres had taken.
- Grandpa 你看！是桃太郎！他回来了！
Nǐ kàn! Shì Táo Tàiláng! Tā huílái le!
Look! It's Momotaro! He's back!
- Grandma 桃太郎！你没事吧？
Táo Tàiláng! Nǐ méi shì ba?
Momotaro! Are you all right?
- Momotaro 奶奶，我没事！你看，我还交了三个好朋友！
Nǎinai, wǒ méi shì! Nǐ kàn, wǒ hái jiāo le sān gè hǎo péngyou!
I'm fine, Grandma! And look, I've made three good friends!
- Grandma 好！今天，奶奶做一百个团子！日本第一！
Hǎo! Jīntiān, nǎinai zuò yìbǎi gè tuánzi! Rìběn dì yī!
Wonderful! Today Grandma will make a hundred dumplings! The best in Japan!
- The Dog 汪！我要吃五十个！
Wāng! Wǒ yào chī wǔshí gè!
Woof! I'll have fifty!
- Grandpa 那我呢？这次，我能吃一个吗？
Nà wǒ ne? Zhè cì, wǒ néng chī yí gè ma?
And what about me? This time, can I have one?
- Grandma 能！老头子，你吃两个！
Néng! Lǎotóuzi, nǐ chī liǎng gè!
Yes! Old man, you can have two!
