The Golden Arrow

Robin in a borrowed red tunic steps up to a target three hundred paces away. He wins the golden arrow, but the Sheriff has one more terrible plan.

The contest ground was packed with people. The Sheriff sat in the highest chair, and beside him lay a golden arrow.

Coming. Excuse me, where's the target?
- The Herald 在那边。三百步。
Zài nàbiān. Sānbǎi bù.
Over there. Three hundred paces.
- Robin Hood 三百步？警长大人，您的眼睛好吗？
Sānbǎi bù? Jǐngzhǎng dàren, nín de yǎnjing hǎo ma?
Three hundred paces? My lord Sheriff, how are your eyes?
- The Sheriff 少说话，多射箭！
Shǎo shuōhuà, duō shèjiàn!
Talk less, shoot more!
- Robin Hood 好的，大人。您说得对。好的射手不用多说话，箭会说话。
Hǎo de, dàren. Nín shuō de duì. Hǎo de shèshǒu bú yòng duō shuōhuà, jiàn huì shuōhuà.
Yes, my lord. You're right. A good archer doesn't need to talk. The arrow talks.
- Narrator 罗宾拉开弓。他的手很稳，一点儿也不动。
Luóbīn lā kāi gōng. Tā de shǒu hěn wěn, yìdiǎnr yě bú dòng.
Robin drew his bow. His hand was steady and did not move at all.
- The Herald 中了！他射中了中间！
Zhòng le! Tā shèzhòng le zhōngjiān!
A hit! He hit the center!
- The Sheriff 不错。可是还有别人没有射。
Búcuò. Kěshì hái yǒu biérén méiyǒu shè.
Not bad. But others haven't shot yet.
- The Sheriff 这个红衣人的手很稳，他的样子……我好像在哪儿见过。
Zhège hóng yī rén de shǒu hěn wěn, tā de yàngzi… wǒ hǎoxiàng zài nǎr jiànguo.
This man in red has a steady hand, and his manner... I feel I've seen it somewhere.
- Robin Hood 别人？我看没有了。我再射一支吧。
Biérén? Wǒ kàn méiyǒu le. Wǒ zài shè yì zhī ba.
Others? I don't see any. Let me shoot one more.
- The Herald 第二支箭，射中了第一支箭！
Dì-èr zhī jiàn, shèzhòng le dì-yī zhī jiàn!
The second arrow hit the first arrow!
- The Sheriff 这样的箭……我只见过一次。英国只有一个人射得出来。
Zhèyàng de jiàn… wǒ zhǐ jiànguo yí cì. Yīngguó zhǐyǒu yí gè rén shè de chūlái.
An arrow like that... I have seen it only once. Only one man in England can shoot it.
- The Sheriff 抓住他！他是罗宾汉！
Zhuāzhù tā! Tā shì Luóbīnhàn!
Catch him! He is Robin Hood!
- Narrator 人群一下子乱了，到处都是人，到处都是倒下的车。
Rénqún yíxiàzi luàn le, dàochù dōu shì rén, dàochù dōu shì dǎoxià de chē.
The crowd fell into chaos. There were people everywhere and overturned carts everywhere.
- Little John 让路，让路！谁挡着路，我的木棍就不认识谁！
Ràng lù, ràng lù! Shéi dǎngzhe lù, wǒ de mùgùn jiù bú rènshi shéi!
Make way, make way! Whoever blocks the road, my staff won't know him!
- Friar Tuck 让一下，让一下！我是修士！哎呀，我的脚又踩到你了！
Ràng yíxià, ràng yíxià! Wǒ shì xiūshì! Āiyā, wǒ de jiǎo yòu cǎidào nǐ le!
Excuse me, excuse me! I'm a friar! Oh dear, my foot stepped on you again!
- Little John 谁想过来？我的木棍，今天还没有吃饭呢！
Shéi xiǎng guòlái? Wǒ de mùgùn, jīntiān hái méiyǒu chīfàn ne!
Who wants to come over? My staff hasn't had its dinner today!
- The Soldier 他们人太多了！我们追不上！
Tāmen rén tài duō le! Wǒmen zhuī bú shàng!
There are too many of them! We can't catch up!
- Robin Hood 我先拿走金箭了！谢谢你们，森林里见！
Wǒ xiān názǒu jīn jiàn le! Xièxie nǐmen, sēnlín lǐ jiàn!
I'll take the golden arrow first! Thank you, see you in the forest!
- Little John 快跑！警长的兵，交给我！
Kuài pǎo! Jǐngzhǎng de bīng, jiāo gěi wǒ!
Run! Leave the Sheriff's soldiers to me!
- Friar Tuck 罗宾，别忘了金箭！它很漂亮，可惜不能吃！
Luóbīn, bié wàng le jīn jiàn! Tā hěn piàoliang, kěxī bù néng chī!
Robin, don't drop the golden arrow! It's beautiful, but sadly you can't eat it!
- Narrator 那天夜里，大房子里很安静。警长一个人坐着，脸色很难看。
Nà tiān yè lǐ, dà fángzi lǐ hěn ānjìng. Jǐngzhǎng yí gè rén zuòzhe, liǎnsè hěn nánkàn.
That night the great house was silent. The Sheriff sat alone, his face dark.
- The Sheriff 我有一百个兵，一百匹马，可是抓不到一个罗宾汉！
Wǒ yǒu yìbǎi gè bīng, yìbǎi pǐ mǎ, kěshì zhuā bú dào yí gè Luóbīnhàn!
I have a hundred soldiers, a hundred horses, and I can't catch one Robin Hood!
- The Sheriff 我不再相信兵了。我要一个更可怕的人。
Wǒ bú zài xiāngxìn bīng le. Wǒ yào yí gè gèng kěpà de rén.
I don't trust soldiers anymore. I want someone more frightening.
- The Sheriff 那个人不怕树林，也不怕人。他会让罗宾汉不再笑。
Nà ge rén bú pà shùlín, yě bú pà rén. Tā huì ràng Luóbīnhàn bú zài xiào.
That man fears neither trees nor men. He will make Robin Hood stop laughing.
- Guy of Gisborne 警长大人，您叫我来了。
Jǐngzhǎng dàren, nín jiào wǒ lái le.
My lord Sheriff, you sent for me.
- The Sheriff 盖伊，你是英国最好的猎人。我要罗宾汉。
Gàiyī, nǐ shì Yīngguó zuì hǎo de lièrén. Wǒ yào Luóbīnhàn.
Guy, you are the best hunter in England. I want Robin Hood.
- Guy of Gisborne 我不用兵，也不用马。我一个人去森林。
Wǒ bú yòng bīng, yě bú yòng mǎ. Wǒ yí gè rén qù sēnlín.
I don't need soldiers or horses. I'll go into the forest alone.
- Guy of Gisborne 罗宾汉不会知道，我什么时候来，也不会知道，我从哪里来。
Luóbīnhàn bú huì zhīdào, wǒ shénme shíhou lái, yě bú huì zhīdào, wǒ cóng nǎlǐ lái.
