The day the gem vanished, you sent a workman to fix a room. Later, the police took him away.
- Dr. Watson 那个工人叫贺纳。他说他什么都没做。
Nàge gōngrén jiào Hènà. Tā shuō tā shénme dōu méi zuò.
His name is Horner. He says he didn't do anything.
- James Ryder 是我！是我拿的！我一看到它，就想要它……

It was me! I took it! The moment I saw it, I wanted it...

My sister raises geese in the country. She said she'd give me one at Christmas.

I picked a big white goose with a black stripe on its tail. I fed the gem to it.

But it ran in among the other geese. I caught one, but it was the wrong one!
- Sherlock Holmes 那只鹅到了布雷先生的市场，再到酒馆，最后到了贝克先生手里。

That goose went to Mr. Breckinridge's market, then the inn, and finally to Mr. Baker.
- James Ryder 是！我找了它一整天……

Yes! I've been hunting for it all day...
- Dr. Watson 福尔摩斯，我们现在叫警察吗？
Fú'ěrmósī, wǒmen xiànzài jiào jǐngchá ma?
Holmes, do we call the police now?
- Sherlock Holmes 华生，你看他。他已经怕得很厉害了。
Huáshēng, nǐ kàn tā. Tā yǐjīng pà dé hěn lìhai le.
Watson, look at him. He's already terribly frightened.
- Sherlock Holmes 赖德先生，你做错了事，还让一个好人吃苦。
Làidé xiānsheng, nǐ zuò cuò le shì, hái ràng yí gè hǎo rén chīkǔ.
Mr. Ryder, you did wrong, and you made a good man suffer.
- James Ryder 我知道……请您原谅我。我再也不想那样了。

I know... please forgive me. I never want to be that way again.
