In the cold, dark cellar, three men wait for a thief. Something begins to scrape under the floor.

Ten o'clock at night. The bank's cellar is dark and cold.

Mr. Holmes, you're here. Please keep your voice down.

- Sherlock Holmes 会。他叫克莱。他很聪明，也很坏。
Huì. Tā jiào Kèlái. Tā hěn cōngming, yě hěn huài.
He will. His name is Clay. He is very clever, and very bad.
- Inspector Jones 克莱？我找他三年了！
Kèlái? Wǒ zhǎo tā sān nián le!
Clay? I've been looking for him for three years!
- Inspector Jones 他怎么进来？门都关着！
Tā zěnme jìnlái? Mén dōu guān zhe!
How will he get in? Every door is shut!
- Sherlock Holmes 他不走门。他从地下来。
Tā bù zǒu mén. Tā cóng dìxià lái.
He won't use a door. He comes from underneath.
- Sherlock Holmes 那今晚，你可以见到他了。
Nà jīn wǎn, nǐ kěyǐ jiàn dào tā le.
Then tonight, you'll get to meet him.
- Dr. Watson 他想要什么？
Tā xiǎng yào shénme?
What does he want?
- Sherlock Holmes 你看这些箱子。里面有很多金子。
Nǐ kàn zhèxiē xiāngzi. Lǐmiàn yǒu hěn duō jīnzi.
Look at these boxes. They're full of gold.
- Inspector Jones 很多很多金子！我夜里都睡不好。
Hěn duō hěn duō jīnzi! Wǒ yèlǐ dōu shuì bù hǎo.
So much gold! I can't sleep at night.
- Sherlock Holmes 现在，请关灯。别说话。
Xiànzài, qǐng guān dēng. Bié shuōhuà.
Now, please put out the light. Not a word.
- Dr. Watson 关灯？那我们什么都看不到了！
Guān dēng? Nà wǒmen shénme dōu kàn bú dào le!
Light out? Then we won't be able to see anything!
- Inspector Jones 我怕黑……
Wǒ pà hēi...
I'm afraid of the dark...
- Sherlock Holmes 琼斯先生，你是警察！
Qióngsī xiānsheng, nǐ shì jǐngchá!
Mr. Jones, you're a policeman!
- Inspector Jones 对，对。我不怕。我只是有一点点怕。
Duì, duì. Wǒ bú pà. Wǒ zhǐ shì yǒu yìdiǎndiǎn pà.
Yes, yes. I'm not afraid. I'm just a tiny bit afraid.
- Dr. Watson 琼斯先生，别怕。我也有一点怕。
Qióngsī xiānsheng, bié pà. Wǒ yě yǒu yìdiǎn pà.
Don't be afraid, Mr. Jones. I'm a little afraid too.
- Dr. Watson 一个小时了。没有人来。
Yí gè xiǎoshí le. Méiyǒu rén lái.
It's been an hour. Nobody's come.
- Sherlock Holmes 别说话。他会来的。
Bié shuōhuà. Tā huì lái de.
Quiet. He will come.
- Inspector Jones 我什么都听不到……福尔摩斯，你听到了吗？
Wǒ shénme dōu tīng bú dào... Fú'ěrmósī, nǐ tīng dào le ma?
I can't hear anything... Holmes, can you?
- Dr. Watson 我的腿好冷。福尔摩斯，你冷吗？
Wǒ de tuǐ hǎo lěng. Fú'ěrmósī, nǐ lěng ma?
My legs are freezing. Holmes, aren't you cold?
- Sherlock Holmes 我不冷。我在听。嘘！
Wǒ bù lěng. Wǒ zài tīng. Xū!
I'm not cold. I'm listening. Shh!
- Dr. Watson 什么声音？地下有声音！
Shénme shēngyīn? Dìxià yǒu shēngyīn!
What's that sound? There's a sound underground!
- Inspector Jones 天啊，就在我们脚下！
Tiān a, jiù zài wǒmen jiǎo xià!
Good heavens, right under our feet!
- Sherlock Holmes 别动！他们要上来了。我们都别说话。
Bié dòng! Tāmen yào shànglái le. Wǒmen dōu bié shuōhuà.
Don't move! They're coming up. Not a word, all of you.
- Dr. Watson 看！地上有光！

Look! There's a light in the floor!
- Inspector Jones 那块石头在动！

That stone is moving!
- Sherlock Holmes 一只手！华生，准备好！
