Shrimp soldiers and crab generals pour out of the Dragon Palace, and the immortals answer with a fan, a flute, a pair of clappers, a thirsty gourd and a sword.

- Narrator 龙宫的大门开了。很多虾兵蟹将，大叫着跑了出来。
Lónggōng de dà mén kāi le. Hěn duō xiā bīng xiè jiàng, dà jiàozhe pǎo le chūlái.
The great gate of the Dragon Palace swung open, and out rushed a crowd of shrimp soldiers and crab generals, yelling.
- Zhang Guolao 来了什么？老张看不见前边啊！
Lái le shénme? Lǎo Zhāng kàn bú jiàn qiánbian a!
What's coming? Old Zhang can't see what's in front!
- He Xiangu 是虾兵蟹将！很多很多，都向我们跑过来了！
Shì xiā bīng xiè jiàng! Hěn duō hěn duō, dōu xiàng wǒmen pǎo guòlái le!
Shrimp soldiers and crab generals! Lots and lots of them, all running at us!

Don't be afraid! The Eight Immortals cross the sea, each with their own magic! Friends, out with your treasures!
- Han Zhongli 看我汉钟离的大扇子！大风，来吧！
Kàn wǒ Hàn Zhōnglí de dà shànzi! Dà fēng, lái ba!
Now watch Han Zhongli's big fan! Come, great wind!
- Narrator 汉钟离的扇子一动，大风就来了，把虾兵蟹将吹得东一个，西一个。
Hàn Zhōnglí de shànzi yí dòng, dà fēng jiù lái le, bǎ xiā bīng xiè jiàng chuī de dōng yí gè, xī yí gè.
Han Zhongli waved his fan, and a great wind blew up and scattered the shrimp soldiers and crab generals, one over here, one over there.
- Han Xiangzi 别打了。来，听我韩湘子吹笛子吧。
Bié dǎ le. Lái, tīng wǒ Hán Xiāngzǐ chuī dízi ba.
Stop fighting. Come, listen to Han Xiangzi play his flute.
- Zhang Guolao 你们看！笛子一响，他们都在跳舞，不打了！
Nǐmen kàn! Dízi yì xiǎng, tāmen dōu zài tiàowǔ, bù dǎ le!
Look, everyone! The moment the flute plays, they all start dancing! They've stopped fighting!
- Cao Guojiu 还有我曹国舅的玉板。请大家听好！
Hái yǒu wǒ Cáo Guójiù de yùbǎn. Qǐng dàjiā tīng hǎo!
And let us not forget the jade clappers of Cao Guojiu. Kindly listen closely, everyone!
- Narrator 玉板一响，声音大得像打雷。虾兵蟹将都坐在了地上，站不起来了。
Yùbǎn yì xiǎng, shēngyīn dà de xiàng dǎléi. Xiā bīng xiè jiàng dōu zuò zài le dì shàng, zhàn bù qǐlái le.
The clappers cracked as loud as thunder, and the shrimp soldiers and crab generals all plopped down on the ground and couldn't get up.
- The Dragon Prince 没用的东西！好，我叫大海来打你们！
Méi yòng de dōngxi! Hǎo, wǒ jiào dàhǎi lái dǎ nǐmen!
Useless, the lot of you! Fine, I'll set the whole sea on you!
- He Xiangu 大家小心！水像一座大山，打过来了！
Dàjiā xiǎoxīn! Shuǐ xiàng yí zuò dà shān, dǎ guòlái le!
Look out, everyone! The water's coming at us like a mountain!
- Li Tieguai 怕什么！我铁拐李的葫芦，最会喝水！
Pà shénme! Wǒ Tiěguǎi Lǐ de húlu, zuì huì hē shuǐ!
What's there to be afraid of? Nobody drinks water like Li Tieguai's gourd!
- Narrator 铁拐李打开葫芦。海里的水，都进了葫芦里。
Tiěguǎi Lǐ dǎkāi húlu. Hǎi lǐ de shuǐ, dōu jìn le húlu lǐ.
Li Tieguai opened his gourd, and all the water in the sea went pouring into it.
- The Dragon Prince 水呢，我的水呢？鱼都在地上跳来跳去！
Shuǐ ne, wǒ de shuǐ ne? Yú dōu zài dì shàng tiào lái tiào qù!
Where's the water? Where's my water? The fish are all flopping about on the ground!
- Li Tieguai 在我的葫芦里呢！可是，一点儿也不好喝！
Zài wǒ de húlu lǐ ne! Kěshì, yìdiǎnr yě bù hǎohē!
It's in my gourd! Not tasty at all, though!
- Lü Dongbin 龙太子！没有水了，你还打不打？
Lóng Tàizǐ! Méiyǒu shuǐ le, nǐ hái dǎ bù dǎ?
Dragon Prince! Your water's gone. Do you still want to fight?
- The Dragon Prince 打！我是龙太子，我不怕你！
Dǎ! Wǒ shì Lóng Tàizǐ, wǒ bú pà nǐ!
I do! I'm the Dragon Prince. I'm not afraid of you!
- Narrator 他们打了很久。最后，吕洞宾的宝剑一动，龙太子的叉子就飞了出去。
Tāmen dǎ le hěn jiǔ. Zuìhòu, Lǚ Dòngbīn de bǎojiàn yí dòng, Lóng Tàizǐ de chāzi jiù fēi le chūqù.
They fought for a long time. At last, with one flick of Lü Dongbin's sword, the Dragon Prince's trident went flying.
- Lü Dongbin 你输了！快说，蓝采和在哪儿？
Nǐ shū le! Kuài shuō, Lán Cǎihé zài nǎr?
You've lost! Now tell me, where is Lan Caihe?
- The Dragon Prince 父王，父王，快来帮帮我！
Fùwáng, fùwáng, kuài lái bāngbang wǒ!
Father, Father, come and help me!
- He Xiangu 他跑了，还拿着花篮！我们先找蓝采和！
Tā pǎo le, hái názhe huālán! Wǒmen xiān zhǎo Lán Cǎihé!
He's run off, and he's still got the basket! Let's find Lan Caihe first!
- Lan Caihe 何仙姑，我在这儿，我在这儿！我在贝壳里边！
Hé Xiān'gū, wǒ zài zhèr, wǒ zài zhèr! Wǒ zài bèiké lǐbian!
He Xiangu, I'm here, I'm here! I'm inside the shell!
- Zhang Guolao 老张来！驴啊驴，踢它一下！
Lǎo Zhāng lái! Lǘ a lǘ, tī tā yí xià!
Old Zhang's coming! Donkey, dear donkey, give it a kick!
- Lan Caihe 开了，开了！朋友们，我就知道你们会来！
Kāi le, kāi le! Péngyoumen, wǒ jiù zhīdào nǐmen huì lái!
It's open, it's open! Friends, I knew you'd come!
- Lü Dongbin 蓝采和，你没事吧？你的花篮呢？
Lán Cǎihé, nǐ méi shì ba? Nǐ de huālán ne?
Lan Caihe, are you all right? Where's your basket?
- Lan Caihe 我没事。可是花篮，还在龙太子那里！
Wǒ méi shì. Kěshì huālán, hái zài Lóng Tàizǐ nàlǐ!
I'm fine. But the basket is still with the Dragon Prince!
- Narrator 这时候，龙王出来了。他的眼睛红红的，非常生气。
Zhè shíhou, Lóngwáng chūlái le. Tā de yǎnjing hónghóng de, fēicháng shēngqì.
Just then, the Dragon King came out. His eyes were blazing red, and he was furious.
- The Dragon King 是谁打了我的儿子？是谁喝了我的大海？
Shì shéi dǎ le wǒ de érzi? Shì shéi hē le wǒ de dàhǎi?
Who beat my son? Who drank up my sea?
- The Dragon King 八仙！我去叫四海的龙王，把所有的水都带来！
Bāxiān! Wǒ qù jiào sì hǎi de Lóngwáng, bǎ suǒyǒu de shuǐ dōu dài lái!
Eight Immortals! I'll call the dragon kings of all four seas, and they'll bring every drop of their water!
- He Xiangu 你们看，天那边！水比山还高！
Nǐmen kàn, tiān nàbian! Shuǐ bǐ shān hái gāo!
Look, over there! The water's higher than a mountain!
- Lü Dongbin 大家拿好自己的宝贝！这一次，是真的大战了！
Dàjiā ná hǎo zìjǐ de bǎobèi! Zhè yí cì, shì zhēn de dàzhàn le!
Everyone, hold your treasures tight! This time, it's a real war!
