Look here, a line of footprints in the mud. They lead right to the edge of the mire, and then there are no more.
- Dr. Watson 我看见他的帽子了！在那边，浮在水面上，一动也不动。

I see his hat! Over there, floating on the water, perfectly still.

I don't dare go any farther. This place is dreadful.

The mire was silent. Stapleton went in and never came back.

Holmes, I still have so many questions. Why did Stapleton want to hurt Henry?

But why did the hound glow? When I first saw it, I truly thought it was a demon.

And the cries on the moor?
- Sherlock Holmes 是真的狗叫。他把猎犬养在沼泽里一个没有人去的地方，每天夜里放它出来。
Shì zhēnde gǒujiào. Tā bǎ lièquǎn yǎng zài zhǎozé lǐ yí gè méiyǒu rén qù de dìfang, měitiān yèlǐ fàng tā chūlái.
A real dog's howl. He kept the hound in a place inside the mire where nobody goes, and let it out at night.
- Dr. Watson 那封警告信呢？是谁写的？
Nà fēng jǐnggào xìn ne? Shì shuí xiě de?
What about the warning letter? Who wrote it?
- Sherlock Holmes 是斯台普顿夫人。她怕亨利被害，可是又不敢说出真相，所以才写了那封信。
Shì Sītáipǔdùn fūrén. Tā pà Hēnglì bèihài, kěshì yòu bù gǎn shuōchū zhēnxiàng, suǒyǐ cái xiě le nà fēngxìn.
Mrs. Stapleton. She feared for Henry, but she dared not tell the truth, so she wrote that letter.
- Beryl 是我。对不起，我那时太害怕了。现在他不在了，我终于自由了。
Shì wǒ. Duìbuqǐ, wǒ nàshí tài hàipà le. Xiànzài tā bú zài le, wǒ zhōngyú zìyóu le.
It was me. I'm sorry, I was too afraid then. Now that he is gone, I am finally free.
