The Monkeys and Kaa
猴子和卡阿
The monkeys carry Mowgli to their crumbling old city. Baloo and Bagheera race through the night to find the one creature the monkeys fear: Kaa, the great python.

The monkeys carried Mowgli, racing past tree after tree.

Tiān hēi le. Tāmen láidào yí zuò méiyǒu rén de lǎo chéng.
Night fell. They came to an old city where no one lived.
- Mowgli 放开我！我不要来你们的家！
Fàngkāi wǒ! Wǒ bú yào lái nǐmen de jiā!
Let go of me! I don't want to come to your home!

- Mowgli 这里没有人，也没有水果。你们骗我！
Zhèlǐ méiyǒu rén, yě méiyǒu shuǐguǒ. Nǐmen piàn wǒ!
There's no one here and no fruit. You tricked me!
- Monkey 明天有！我们是最好的朋友。你是我们的老大！
Míngtiān yǒu! Wǒmen shì zuì hǎo de péngyou. Nǐ shì wǒmen de lǎodà!
Tomorrow there will be! We're the best of friends. You're our boss!
- Mowgli 你们的老大要回家。现在！
Nǐmen de lǎodà yào huí jiā. Xiànzài!
Your boss wants to go home. Now!
- Monkey 不行不行！老大要留下来，我们一起玩！
Bù xíng bù xíng! Lǎodà yào liú xiàlái, wǒmen yìqǐ wán!
No, no, no! The boss stays and we all play together!
- Mowgli 天上有一只大鸟……巴鲁教过我。
Tiān shàng yǒu yì zhī dà niǎo… Bālǔ jiāo guo wǒ.
There's a big bird in the sky... Baloo taught me.
- Mowgli 大鸟！我们是一家人，你和我！去告诉巴鲁，我在老城！
Dà niǎo! Wǒmen shì yì jiā rén, nǐ hé wǒ! Qù gàosu Bālǔ, wǒ zài lǎo chéng!
Big bird! We are one family, you and I! Go tell Baloo I'm in the old city!
- Chil the Kite 听到了，小兄弟！我马上飞去！
Tīngdào le, xiǎo xiōngdi! Wǒ mǎshàng fēi qù!
I hear you, little brother! I'll fly right now!
- Monkey 他和鸟说话？快，把他关起来！
Tā hé niǎo shuōhuà? Kuài, bǎ tā guān qǐlái!
He talks to the birds? Quick, lock him up!
- Baloo 毛克利在老城！猴子把他带走了！
Máokèlì zài lǎo chéng! Hóuzi bǎ tā dàizǒu le!
Mowgli is in the old city! The monkeys took him!
- Bagheera 我早说过！猴子那么多，我们两个不够。
Wǒ zǎo shuō guo! Hóuzi nàme duō, wǒmen liǎng gè bú gòu.
I told you so! There are so many monkeys, the two of us aren't enough.
- Baloo 那怎么办？我不想没有小青蛙！
Nà zěnme bàn? Wǒ bù xiǎng méiyǒu xiǎo qīngwā!
Then what do we do? I don't want to lose my little frog!
- Bagheera 找卡阿。猴子不怕我们，可是很怕他。
Zhǎo Kǎ'ā. Hóuzi bú pà wǒmen, kěshì hěn pà tā.
We find Kaa. The monkeys aren't afraid of us, but they are very afraid of him.
- Baloo 可是卡阿有时候很饿……
Kěshì Kǎ'ā yǒu shíhou hěn è…
But sometimes Kaa is very hungry...
- Bagheera 他吃猴子，不吃朋友。快走！
Tā chī hóuzi, bù chī péngyou. Kuài zǒu!
He eats monkeys, not friends. Hurry!
- Baloo 对！我们跑快一点儿！小青蛙一个人在那里，他一定很怕。
Duì! Wǒmen pǎo kuài yìdiǎnr! Xiǎo qīngwā yí gè rén zài nàlǐ, tā yídìng hěn pà.
Yes! Let us run faster! The little frog is all alone there. He must be so scared.
- Kaa 我听说……有人的孩子，被猴子带走了。
Wǒ tīngshuō… yǒu rén de háizi, bèi hóuzi dàizǒu le.
I heard... a human child was taken by the monkeys.
- Bagheera 卡阿！谢谢你来了。孩子在那座老房子里。
Kǎ'ā! Xièxie nǐ lái le. Háizi zài nà zuò lǎo fángzi lǐ.
Kaa! Thank you for coming. The boy is in that old house.
- Monkey 是卡阿！卡阿来了！快跑！
Shì Kǎ'ā! Kǎ'ā lái le! Kuài pǎo!
It's Kaa! Kaa is here! Run!
- Kaa 不要跑……看着我的眼睛……来，你们都来跳舞。
Bú yào pǎo… kànzhe wǒ de yǎnjing… Lái, nǐmen dōu lái tiàowǔ.
Don't run... look into my eyes... Come, all of you, come and dance.
- Mowgli 他的眼睛……好大……不！我不看！
Tā de yǎnjing… hǎo dà… Bù! Wǒ bú kàn!
His eyes... so big... No! I won't look!
- Bagheera 毛克利，闭上眼睛！跟我走！
Máokèlì, bìshàng yǎnjing! Gēn wǒ zǒu!
Mowgli, close your eyes! Come with me!
- Kaa 好了。今晚，这里会很安静。
Hǎo le. Jīnwǎn, zhèlǐ huì hěn ānjìng.
There. Tonight, it will be very quiet here.
- Mowgli 卡阿，谢谢你。我们是一家人，你和我。
Kǎ'ā, xièxie nǐ. Wǒmen shì yì jiā rén, nǐ hé wǒ.
Kaa, thank you. We are one family, you and I.
- Kaa 小青蛙，说得好。下次，别跟猴子玩了。
Xiǎo qīngwā, shuō de hǎo. Xiàcì, bié gēn hóuzi wán le.
Little frog, well said. Next time, don't play with monkeys.
- Bagheera 回家吧。可是有一件事，你要知道。阿克拉老了。
Huí jiā ba. Kěshì yǒu yí jiàn shì, nǐ yào zhīdào. Ākèlā lǎo le.
Let's go home. But there is one thing you need to know. Akela is getting old.
- Bagheera 谢尔汗在对小狼们说话。狼群，很快就不要你了。
Xiè'ěrhàn zài duì xiǎo lángmen shuōhuà. Lángqún, hěn kuài jiù bú yào nǐ le.
Shere Khan is talking to the young wolves. Soon the pack may not want you anymore.
