- Monkey 朋友不骗朋友！你不知道吗？
Péngyou bú piàn péngyou! Nǐ bù zhīdào ma?
Friends don't trick friends! Don't you know that?
- Crocodile 我知道。可是我太太……我很怕她。
Wǒ zhīdào. Kěshì wǒ tàitai... wǒ hěn pà tā.
I know. But my wife... I'm very scared of her.
- Monkey 你怕你太太，就骗你的朋友？
Nǐ pà nǐ tàitai, jiù piàn nǐ de péngyou?
You're scared of your wife, so you trick your friend?
- Crocodile 我不对。我真的很对不起。
Wǒ bú duì. Wǒ zhēn de hěn duìbuqǐ.
I was wrong. I'm truly sorry.
- Monkey 你饿的时候，谁给你果子？
Nǐ è de shíhou, shéi gěi nǐ guǒzi?
When you were hungry, who gave you fruit?
- Crocodile 是你。你是我最好的朋友。
Shì nǐ. Nǐ shì wǒ zuì hǎo de péngyou.
You did. You're my best friend.
- Monkey 以前是。今天……我不知道了。
Yǐqián shì. Jīntiān... wǒ bù zhīdào le.
You were. Today... I don't know anymore.
- Crocodile 我回家说真话。明天我再来，好吗？
Wǒ huí jiā shuō zhēnhuà. Míngtiān wǒ zài lái, hǎo ma?
I'll go home and tell the truth. May I come back tomorrow?
- Monkey 走吧。我要想一想。
Zǒu ba. Wǒ yào xiǎng yi xiǎng.
Go. I need to think.
- Crocodile 猴子！猴子！你在吗？
Hóuzi! Hóuzi! Nǐ zài ma?
Monkey! Monkey! Are you there?
- Monkey 我在。你又来做什么？
Wǒ zài. Nǐ yòu lái zuò shénme?
I'm here. What are you back for?
- Crocodile 我带我太太来了。她有话对你说。
Wǒ dài wǒ tàitai lái le. Tā yǒu huà duì nǐ shuō.
I brought my wife. She has something to say to you.
- Crocodile's Wife 猴子……对不起。我没有病。是我骗了鳄鱼。
Hóuzi... duìbuqǐ. Wǒ méiyǒu bìng. Shì wǒ piàn le èyú.
Monkey... I'm sorry. I'm not sick. I tricked the crocodile.
- Crocodile's Wife 他哭了一个晚上。他说你是好朋友。
Tā kū le yí gè wǎnshang. Tā shuō nǐ shì hǎo péngyou.
He cried all night. He said you are a good friend.
- Crocodile 我不想没有你这个朋友。
Wǒ bù xiǎng méiyǒu nǐ zhège péngyou.
I don't want to lose you as a friend.
- Monkey 真的吗？鳄鱼，你哭了？
Zhēn de ma? Èyú, nǐ kū le?
Really? Crocodile, were you crying?
- Crocodile 是啊……我一个晚上没睡。
Shì a... wǒ yí gè wǎnshang méi shuì.
Yes... I didn't sleep all night.
- Monkey 他们真的来说对不起了……
Tāmen zhēn de lái shuō duìbuqǐ le...
They really came to say sorry...
- Monkey 好吧！可是我的心，我自己带着！
Hǎo ba! Kěshì wǒ de xīn, wǒ zìjǐ dàizhe!
All right! But my heart, I'm keeping it with me!
- Crocodile 哈哈哈！好！你的心，你自己带着！

- Crocodile's Wife 我也想吃一个红果子。可以吗？
Wǒ yě xiǎng chī yí gè hóng guǒzi. Kěyǐ ma?
