In the morning, the three brothers climbed a hill. Below it were many Yellow Turbans.
- Zhang Fei 大哥！他们有好多人！我们才一百个人！
Dàgē! Tāmen yǒu hǎo duō rén! Wǒmen cái yì bǎi gè rén!
Big brother! They have so many people! We only have a hundred!
- Liu Bei 我知道。可是我们不能怕。
Wǒ zhīdào. Kěshì wǒmen bù néng pà.
I know. But we can't be afraid.

- Liu Bei 三弟！你带十个人，去山后面。
Sāndì! Nǐ dài shí gè rén, qù shān hòumiàn.
Third brother! Take ten men and go behind the hill.
- Zhang Fei 去做什么？打他们吗？
Qù zuò shénme? Dǎ tāmen ma?
To do what? Fight them?
- Liu Bei 不打。你大声喊！越大声越好！
Bù dǎ. Nǐ dà shēng hǎn! Yuè dà shēng yuè hǎo!
No fighting. You shout! The louder the better!
- Zhang Fei 喊？我最会喊了！
Hǎn? Wǒ zuì huì hǎn le!
Shout? Nobody shouts better than me!
- Liu Bei 二弟，你跟我。我们从山下走。
Èrdì, nǐ gēn wǒ. Wǒmen cóng shān xià zǒu.
Second brother, come with me. We'll go up from below.
- Guan Yu 好，大哥。
Hǎo, dàgē.
Yes, big brother.
- Zhang Fei 来啊！我们的兵来了！好多好多兵！
Lái a! Wǒmen de bīng lái le! Hǎo duō hǎo duō bīng!
Come on! Our army is here! So many, many soldiers!
- Rebel 后面有兵！这么多！快跑！
Hòumiàn yǒu bīng! Zhème duō! Kuài pǎo!
Soldiers behind us! So many! Run!
- Guan Yu 大哥，你看！他们都跑了！他们怕什么？
Dàgē, nǐ kàn! Tāmen dōu pǎo le! Tāmen pà shénme?
Big brother, look! They've all run away! What are they afraid of?
- Liu Bei 谁也没事。太好了。三弟真行！
Shéi yě méishì. Tài hǎo le. Sāndì zhēn xíng!
Nobody is hurt. Wonderful. Third brother is amazing!
- Narrator 晚上，这里有一个大火。人人都很高兴。
Wǎnshang, zhèlǐ yǒu yí gè dà huǒ. Rénrén dōu hěn gāoxìng.
That night there was a big fire. Everyone was happy.
- Villager 谢谢三位！你们是我们的好人！
Xièxie sān wèi! Nǐmen shì wǒmen de hǎo rén!
Thank you, all three! You are good men, all three of you!
- Zhang Fei 大哥！我的声音大不大？
Dàgē! Wǒ de shēngyīn dà bú dà?
Big brother! Was my voice loud enough?
- Liu Bei 大！比一百个人的声音还大！
Dà! Bǐ yì bǎi gè rén de shēngyīn hái dà!
Loud! Louder than a hundred men!
- Guan Yu 大哥，这次他们怕了。可是下次，他们会想得更好。
Dàgē, zhè cì tāmen pà le. Kěshì xiàcì, tāmen huì xiǎng de gèng hǎo.
Big brother, this time they were afraid. But next time, they will think more carefully.
- Liu Bei 你说得对。我们有很多朋友，也有心。
Nǐ shuō de duì. Wǒmen yǒu hěn duō péngyou, yě yǒu xīn.
You're right. We have many friends, and we have heart.
- Liu Bei 可是，我们没有一个很会想的人。
Kěshì, wǒmen méiyǒu yí gè hěn huì xiǎng de rén.
But we don't have anyone who is really good at planning.
- Zhang Fei 想？我不会想。我只会喊！
Xiǎng? Wǒ bú huì xiǎng. Wǒ zhǐ huì hǎn!
Thinking? I can't think. I can only shout!
- Old Man 我听说，南边的山里有一个人，很会想。
Wǒ tīngshuō, nánbiān de shān lǐ yǒu yí gè rén, hěn huì xiǎng.
I have heard that in the southern mountains lives a man who is very good at planning.
- Old Man 人们叫他“睡觉的龙”。他像一条龙，在山里睡觉。
Rénmen jiào tā “shuìjiào de lóng”. Tā xiàng yì tiáo lóng, zài shān lǐ shuìjiào.
People call him the “Sleeping Dragon.” He is like a dragon, asleep in the mountains.
- Liu Bei 睡觉的龙……我一定要找到他！
Shuìjiào de lóng… Wǒ yídìng yào zhǎodào tā!
The Sleeping Dragon... I will find him!
