The next day the flowers in the peach garden were in bloom. When the wind blew, the petals fell like rain.
- Zhang Fei 你们看！我家的花！好看吗？
Nǐmen kàn! Wǒ jiā de huā! Hǎokàn ma?
Look, you two! My family's flowers! Aren't they beautiful?
- Liu Bei 太好看了。张飞，谢谢你。
Tài hǎokàn le. Zhāng Fēi, xièxie nǐ.

Lǎotiān, qǐng tīng wǒ shuō. Wǒ jiào Liú Bèi.
Heaven, please hear me. My name is Liu Bei.
- Guan Yu 我叫关羽。
Wǒ jiào Guān Yǔ.
My name is Guan Yu.
- Zhang Fei 我叫张飞！
Wǒ jiào Zhāng Fēi!
My name is Zhang Fei!
- Liu Bei 我们的家不同，可是今天，我们做兄弟。
Wǒmen de jiā bù tóng, kěshì jīntiān, wǒmen zuò xiōngdì.
Our families are not the same, but today we become brothers.
- Guan Yu 我们一起帮大家，一起帮国家。
Wǒmen yìqǐ bāng dàjiā, yìqǐ bāng guójiā.
Together we will help the people and help our country.
- Zhang Fei 有肉，一起吃！有工作，一起做！
Yǒu ròu, yìqǐ chī! Yǒu gōngzuò, yìqǐ zuò!
When there's meat, we eat it together! When there's work, we do it together!
- Liu Bei 从今天起，我们一直在一起，不分开。
Cóng jīntiān qǐ, wǒmen yìzhí zài yìqǐ, bù fēnkāi.
From today, we will always be together and never apart.
- Guan Yu 说到，就要做到。
Shuō dào, jiù yào zuò dào.
What we say, we must do.
- Zhang Fei 我说到，一定做到！
Wǒ shuō dào, yídìng zuò dào!
I say it, and I will do it!
- Guan Yu 谁是大哥？
Shéi shì dàgē?
Who is the eldest brother?
- Zhang Fei 刘备最大！他是大哥！
Liú Bèi zuì dà! Tā shì dàgē!
Liu Bei is the oldest! He's the big brother!
- Guan Yu 好。刘备是大哥，我是二哥。张飞，你是三弟。
Hǎo. Liú Bèi shì dàgē, wǒ shì èrgē. Zhāng Fēi, nǐ shì sāndì.
Good. Liu Bei is the eldest, I'm the second brother. Zhang Fei, you're the third.
- Zhang Fei 三弟？我最小？好吧，三弟就三弟！
Sāndì? Wǒ zuì xiǎo? Hǎo ba, sāndì jiù sāndì!
The third brother? I'm the youngest? Fine, third brother it is!
- Liu Bei 二弟，三弟，来，喝酒！
Èrdì, sāndì, lái, hē jiǔ!
Second brother, third brother, come, let's drink!
- Zhang Fei 大哥！二哥！我有两个哥哥了！我好高兴！
Dàgē! Èrgē! Wǒ yǒu liǎng gè gēge le! Wǒ hǎo gāoxìng!
Big brother! Second brother! I have two older brothers now! I'm so happy!
- Narrator 又一天早上，很多人来到这里。
Yòu yì tiān zǎoshang, hěn duō rén lái dào zhèlǐ.
Another morning, and many people came to the garden.
- Villager 三位大哥！我们要打黄巾贼！带上我们！
Sān wèi dàgē! Wǒmen yào dǎ Huángjīn zéi! Dài shàng wǒmen!
Brothers, all three of you! We want to fight the Yellow Turbans! Take us with you!
- Liu Bei 谢谢大家。可是我们没有刀，也没有马。
Xièxie dàjiā. Kěshì wǒmen méiyǒu dāo, yě méiyǒu mǎ.
Thank you, everyone. But we have no swords and no horses.
- Blacksmith 别怕！我是铁匠。我给你们做刀！
Bié pà! Wǒ shì tiějiàng. Wǒ gěi nǐmen zuò dāo!
Don't worry! I'm a blacksmith. I'll make you swords!
- Guan Yu 铁匠先生，我要一把很长的大刀。
Tiějiàng xiānsheng, wǒ yào yì bǎ hěn cháng de dà dāo.
Mr. Blacksmith, I want a big, long blade.
- Zhang Fei 铁匠，我要一把长矛！比他的大刀还长！
Tiějiàng, wǒ yào yì bǎ chángmáo! Bǐ tā de dàdāo hái cháng!
Blacksmith, I want a spear! One even longer than his blade!
- Blacksmith 好！可是，做刀要三天！
Hǎo! Kěshì, zuò dāo yào sān tiān!
Good! But making them takes three days!
- Rider 不好了！黄巾贼来了！离这里很近！
Bù hǎo le! Huángjīn zéi lái le! Lí zhèlǐ hěn jìn!
Trouble! The Yellow Turbans are coming! They're very close!
- Zhang Fei 大哥！我的长矛还没有做好！怎么办？
Dàgē! Wǒ de chángmáo hái méiyǒu zuò hǎo! Zěnme bàn?
Big brother! My spear isn't finished! What do we do?
