Alone on a bridge, Zhang Fei tries a trick with dust and one enormous shout. When the fighting is over, a new problem is waiting.

Zhāng jiāngjūn, qù shùlín lǐ zuò shénme ne? Wǒmen hái méiyǒu míngbai.
General Zhang, what do we do in the woods? We don't understand yet.
- Zhang Fei 每个人在马后面拉着树枝，来回地跑！要跑出很大很大的灰尘！
Měi gè rén zài mǎ hòumiàn lāzhe shùzhī, láihuí de pǎo! Yào pǎo chū hěn dà hěn dà de huīchén!

- Zhang Fei 聪明吧？别人都说我笨，今天我要让他们看看！
Cōngming ba? Biérén dōu shuō wǒ bèn, jīntiān wǒ yào ràng tāmen kànkan!
Clever, right? Everybody says I'm dumb, and today I'll show them!
- Rider 是，张将军！桥上就交给您了，我们马上就去！
Shì, Zhāng jiāngjūn! Qiáo shàng jiù jiāo gěi nín le, wǒmen mǎshàng jiù qù!
Yes, General Zhang! The bridge is yours, and we'll go right now!
- Cao Soldier 丞相！前面就是长坂桥，桥上只有一个人，是张飞！
Chéngxiàng! Qiánmiàn jiù shì Chángbǎn Qiáo, qiáo shàng zhǐ yǒu yí gè rén, shì Zhāng Fēi!
Prime Minister! Ahead is Changban Bridge, and there's only one man on it. It's Zhang Fei!
- Cao Cao 只有一个人？可是你们看那片树林，灰尘那么大……
Zhǐ yǒu yí gè rén? Kěshì nǐmen kàn nà piàn shùlín, huīchén nàme dà…
Only one man? But look at that stretch of woods, so much dust…
- Cao General 丞相，树林里会不会有埋伏？
Chéngxiàng, shùlín lǐ huì bú huì yǒu máifú?
Prime Minister, could there be an ambush in the woods?
- Zhang Fei 我是张飞！有谁敢到桥上来，和我打一场？！
Wǒ shì Zhāng Fēi! Yǒu shéi gǎn dào qiáo shàng lái, hé wǒ dǎ yì chǎng?!
I am Zhang Fei! Who dares come onto this bridge and fight me?!
- Cao Soldier 好大的声音啊！我的耳朵都疼了！
Hǎo dà de shēngyīn a! Wǒ de ěrduo dōu téng le!
What a voice! My ears hurt!
- Cao Cao 我早就听说，张飞一个人，就能挡住一大群兵……说不定，那里真的有埋伏。
Wǒ zǎo jiù tīngshuō, Zhāng Fēi yí gè rén, jiù néng dǎngzhù yí dà qún bīng… shuō bú dìng, nàlǐ zhēn de yǒu máifú.
I've long heard that Zhang Fei alone can hold back a whole crowd of soldiers… maybe there really is an ambush.
- Zhang Fei 喂！我一直在这里等你们！你们是不是害怕了？！
Wèi! Wǒ yìzhí zài zhèlǐ děng nǐmen! Nǐmen shì bú shì hàipà le?!
Hey! I've been waiting for you right here! Are you scared?!
- Cao General 丞相，这一定是埋伏！我的马已经在发抖了！
Chéngxiàng, zhè yídìng shì máifú! Wǒ de mǎ yǐjīng zài fādǒu le!
Prime Minister, this must be an ambush! My horse is already shaking!
- Cao Cao 别着急……我们慢慢地往后退，不要让他看出来。
Bié zháojí… wǒmen mànmàn de wǎng hòu tuì, bú yào ràng tā kàn chūlái.
Don't panic… let's slowly back away, and don't let him see.
- Zhang Fei 我是张飞！要打就快来！不打的话，我就回家吃饭了！
Wǒ shì Zhāng Fēi! Yào dǎ jiù kuài lái! Bù dǎ de huà, wǒ jiù huíjiā chīfàn le!
I am Zhang Fei! Fight me now! If not, I'm going home for dinner!
- Cao Soldier 啊！他要打过来了！大家快跑啊！
Ā! Tā yào dǎ guòlái le! Dàjiā kuài pǎo a!
Ah! He's coming to fight! Everybody run!
- Cao General 丞相！后面的兵已经在往后退了！我们也快走吧！
Chéngxiàng! Hòumiàn de bīng yǐjīng zài wǎng hòu tuì le! Wǒmen yě kuài zǒu ba!
Prime Minister! The soldiers at the back are already retreating! Let's go too!
- Cao Cao 退！快退！这个张飞，嗓子比他的枪还要厉害！
Tuì! Kuài tuì! Zhège Zhāng Fēi, sǎngzi bǐ tā de qiāng hái yào lìhai!
Retreat! Quick! This Zhang Fei's voice is even more dangerous than his spear!
- Zhao Yun 主公，公子一直在我的铠甲里，他很平安，一点儿也没有受伤。
Zhǔgōng, gōngzǐ yìzhí zài wǒ de kǎijiǎ lǐ, tā hěn píng'ān, yìdiǎnr yě méiyǒu shòushāng.
My lord, the young master was inside my armor the whole time. He is safe and not hurt at all.
- Liu Bei 阿斗……我的孩子。谢天谢地，你终于回到爸爸这里了！
Ā Dǒu… wǒ de háizi. Xiè tiān xiè dì, nǐ zhōngyú huídào bàba zhèlǐ le!
A Dou… my child. Thank heaven, you're finally back with your father!
- Liu Bei 可是，为了这个小东西，我差一点儿失去了一位大将军啊！
Kěshì, wèile zhège xiǎo dōngxi, wǒ chà yìdiǎnr shīqù le yí wèi dà jiāngjūn a!
But for this little one, I nearly lost a great general!
- Zhao Yun 主公！请您放心，我会用一辈子保护公子！
Zhǔgōng! Qǐng nín fàngxīn, wǒ huì yòng yí bèizi bǎohù gōngzǐ!
My lord! Please rest assured, I will guard the young master all my life!
- Liu Bei 快起来吧，子龙。你不只是我的将军，也是我最好的兄弟。
Kuài qǐlái ba, Zǐlóng. Nǐ bù zhǐ shì wǒ de jiāngjūn, yě shì wǒ zuì hǎo de xiōngdì.
Get up now, Zilong. You're not only my general, you're my best brother.
- Zhang Fei 大哥……我也有一件事，一定要告诉你。
Dàgē… wǒ yě yǒu yí jiàn shì, yídìng yào gàosu nǐ.
Big Brother… I have something to tell you too.
- Liu Bei 什么事？三弟，你说吧，我不会生气。
Shénme shì? Sān dì, nǐ shuō ba, wǒ bú huì shēngqì.
What is it? Third Brother, go on, I won't be angry.
- Zhang Fei 我……我怕他们追过来，就把桥弄断了。
Wǒ… wǒ pà tāmen zhuī guòlái, jiù bǎ qiáo nòng duàn le.
I… I was afraid they'd chase us, so I broke the bridge.
- Liu Bei 三弟，你的胆子大，可是这一步不聪明。桥断了，曹操就知道我们怕了。
Sān dì, nǐ de dǎnzi dà, kěshì zhè yí bù bù cōngming. Qiáo duàn le, Cáo Cāo jiù zhīdào wǒmen pà le.
Third Brother, you are brave, but that step wasn't wise. With the bridge broken, Cao Cao will know we are afraid.
- Zhang Fei 啊？那……那我们现在该怎么办呢？
Ā? Nà… nà wǒmen xiànzài gāi zěnme bàn ne?
Huh? Then… then what do we do now?
- Liu Bei 曹操一定还会再来。路只剩一条了：我们去江东，找孙权！
Cáo Cāo yídìng hái huì zài lái. Lù zhǐ shèng yì tiáo le: wǒmen qù Jiāngdōng, zhǎo Sūn Quán!
Cao Cao will surely come again. Only one road is left: we go to Jiangdong and find Sun Quan!
