Most of these words split in half
唱歌 is not one lump meaning sing. It is 唱 (to sing) plus 歌 (a song) — a verb with its object already attached. The same goes for 跳舞, 看书, 下棋, 拍照, 散步, 逛街 and 画画. That matters the moment you add detail, because the extra information goes inside the word, not after it. You sing a Chinese song as 唱中文歌, not 唱歌中文歌. You took three photos: 拍了三张照. You went for a short walk: 散散步. Once you see the seam, a whole class of words behaves predictably.
Talking about what you like
兴趣 is a noun, so it needs a frame around it: 我对音乐很感兴趣 (I am very interested in music), with 对 marking the thing you are interested in. For a plain statement, 我喜欢 plus the activity is enough — 我喜欢画画. And keep 旅游 and 旅行 apart: 旅游 leans toward sightseeing and holidays, 旅行 is the neutral word for making a trip.
