The stepmother has a new plan, and this time the door won't open. Lost for three days, Hansel and Gretel follow a snow-white bird to a very strange little house.

Guò le bù jiǔ, jiā lǐ yòu méiyǒu miànbāo le.
Before long, there was no bread in the house again.
- Stepmother 明天，我们走得更远一点儿。这一次，让他们回不来！
Míngtiān, wǒmen zǒu de gèng yuǎn yìdiǎnr. Zhè yí cì, ràng tāmen huí bù lái!
Tomorrow we go deeper into the forest. This time, they won't find their way back!
- Gretel 哥哥，你听……她又要把我们带到森林里去！
Gēge, nǐ tīng… tā yòu yào bǎ wǒmen dài dào sēnlín lǐ qù!
Hansel, listen… She's taking us into the forest again!

Don't be afraid, I have a plan. I'll go and get more white pebbles!
- Narrator 可是这一次，后妈把大门关上了。汉赛尔怎么推，门也不开。
Kěshì zhè yí cì, hòumā bǎ dàmén guān shàng le. Hànsài'ěr zěnme tuī, mén yě bù kāi.
But this time, the stepmother had shut the door. However hard Hansel pushed, it wouldn't open.
- Hansel 门打不开！我出不去了……
Mén dǎ bù kāi! Wǒ chū bú qù le…
The door won't open! I can't get out…
- Gretel 没有白石头，我们怎么回家？
Méiyǒu bái shítou, wǒmen zěnme huí jiā?
Without the white pebbles, how will we get home?
- Hansel 让我想想……有了！明天的面包！
Ràng wǒ xiǎngxiang… yǒu le! Míngtiān de miànbāo!
Let me think… I've got it! Tomorrow's bread!
- Stepmother 快起来！这是你们的面包。今天只有这么一小块！
Kuài qǐlái! Zhè shì nǐmen de miànbāo. Jīntiān zhǐ yǒu zhème yì xiǎo kuài!
Get up! Here's your bread. Just this little bit today!
- Gretel 哥哥，你怎么不吃面包？你不饿吗？
Gēge, nǐ zěnme bù chī miànbāo? Nǐ bú è ma?
Hansel, why aren't you eating your bread? Aren't you hungry?
- Hansel 饿啊！可是我把面包一小块一小块地放在路上了。
È a! Kěshì wǒ bǎ miànbāo yì xiǎo kuài yì xiǎo kuài de fàng zài lù shang le.
Starving! But I've been dropping my bread on the path, one little piece at a time.
- Father 汉赛尔，你怎么又往回看？
Hànsài'ěr, nǐ zěnme yòu wǎng huí kàn?
Hansel, why are you looking back again?
- Hansel 我在看我的小白鸟。它在房顶上，跟我说再见呢！
Wǒ zài kàn wǒ de xiǎo bái niǎo. Tā zài fángdǐng shang, gēn wǒ shuō zàijiàn ne!
I'm looking at my little white bird. It's up on the roof, saying goodbye to me!
- Stepmother 傻孩子！那又是太阳照在房顶上！快走！
Shǎ háizi! Nà yòu shì tàiyáng zhào zài fángdǐng shang! Kuài zǒu!
Silly child! That's the sun on the roof again! Keep walking!
- Narrator 这一次，他们走到了森林的最里面。
Zhè yí cì, tāmen zǒu dào le sēnlín de zuì lǐmiàn.
This time, they went deeper into the forest than they had ever been.
- Father 孩子们，在火边等我们。晚上，我们来接你们。
Háizimen, zài huǒ biān děng wǒmen. Wǎnshang, wǒmen lái jiē nǐmen.
Children, wait for us by the fire. We'll come back for you this evening.
- Gretel 上次，爸爸也是这样说的……
Shàng cì, bàba yě shì zhèyàng shuō de…
That's what Father said last time too…
- Narrator 天黑了，月亮出来了。可是路上，一块面包也没有了。
Tiān hēi le, yuèliang chūlái le. Kěshì lù shang, yí kuài miànbāo yě méiyǒu le.
Night fell, and the moon came up. But on the path, there wasn't a single piece of bread.
- Hansel 面包呢？我的面包呢？
Miànbāo ne? Wǒ de miànbāo ne?
Where's the bread? Where did my bread go?
- Gretel 哥哥，你看树上。是小鸟……它们把面包都吃了。
Gēge, nǐ kàn shù shang. Shì xiǎo niǎo… tāmen bǎ miànbāo dōu chī le.
Hansel, look up in the trees. The birds… they've eaten all the bread.
- Hansel 都吃了？没关系，我们自己找路！
Dōu chī le? Méi guānxi, wǒmen zìjǐ zhǎo lù!
All of it? Never mind. We'll find the way ourselves!
- Narrator 他们走了一天，又走了一天。森林越来越大，家越来越远。
Tāmen zǒu le yì tiān, yòu zǒu le yì tiān. Sēnlín yuè lái yuè dà, jiā yuè lái yuè yuǎn.
They walked for a day, and then another. The forest grew bigger and bigger, and home farther and farther away.
- Gretel 哥哥，这是第三天了。我饿得走不动了……
Gēge, zhè shì dì sān tiān le. Wǒ è de zǒu bú dòng le…
Hansel, this is the third day. I'm too hungry to walk any farther…
- Hansel 我也饿坏了……格莱特，再走一点儿，好吗？
Wǒ yě è huài le… Géláitè, zài zǒu yìdiǎnr, hǎo ma?
I'm starving too… Just a little farther, Gretel, all right?
- Gretel 你听！有小鸟在唱歌！是一只雪白的小鸟！
Nǐ tīng! Yǒu xiǎo niǎo zài chànggē! Shì yì zhī xuěbái de xiǎo niǎo!
Listen! A bird is singing! A little snow-white bird!
- Hansel 是我的小白鸟吗？快，我们跟着它！
Shì wǒ de xiǎo bái niǎo ma? Kuài, wǒmen gēnzhe tā!
Is that my little white bird? Quick, let's follow it!
- Narrator 白鸟飞呀飞，停在了一个小房子上。
Bái niǎo fēi ya fēi, tíng zài le yí gè xiǎo fángzi shang.
The white bird flew on and on, and landed on the roof of a little house.
- Gretel 哥哥，你看！这个房子是面包做的！窗户是糖做的！
Gēge, nǐ kàn! Zhège fángzi shì miànbāo zuò de! Chuānghu shì táng zuò de!
Hansel, look! This house is made of bread! The windows are made of sugar!
- Hansel 房顶是甜甜的点心！我吃房顶，你吃窗户！
Fángdǐng shì tiántián de diǎnxin! Wǒ chī fángdǐng, nǐ chī chuānghu!
And the roof is sweet cake! I'll eat the roof, you eat the window!
- Gretel 好甜啊……可是哥哥，这是谁的房子呢？
Hǎo tián a… kěshì gēge, zhè shì shéi de fángzi ne?
It's so sweet… But Hansel, whose house is this?
- Hansel 不知道！我三天没吃饭了，先吃吧！
Bù zhīdào! Wǒ sān tiān méi chī fàn le, xiān chī ba!
Who knows? I haven't eaten in three days. Eat first, ask later!
- The Witch 是谁啊？是谁在吃我的小房子？
Shì shéi a? Shì shéi zài chī wǒ de xiǎo fángzi?
Who's there? Who's that eating my little house?
