发展, 管理, 竞争 and 合作 change part of speech without changing shape. 公司发展很快 uses 发展 as a verb; 经济发展 uses it as a noun; nothing is added and nothing is dropped. Formal Chinese leans on this constantly, and it is why translating word by word out of English produces stiff sentences — the grammar rides on position, not on endings.

Follow 资 and 业 across the level

资 means funds or resources, and it threads through 资源 here, 资本 and 投资 in the finance set, and 工资 back at HSK 4. 业 means an undertaking or a line of work, so 企业 is an enterprise and the same 业 sits inside 职业, 行业 and 农业. Two near-twins are worth separating now: 利润 is accounting profit, the figure left after costs, while 利益 is interests or benefit in the broader sense, as in 国家利益.
