HSK 5 and HSK 6 Chinese Workbooks
By Mei Lin
HSK 5 and 6 are the advanced levels, and the work changes shape: fewer new words per page, more thinking per paragraph. The reading practice books ask you to follow an argument, catch the detail that changes the meaning, and say why the writer wrote what they did.
The writing workbooks practise what the exam and real life both ask for at this level: paraphrasing, summarising, and building a longer argument from several sources. They're demanding, so do one section at a time and compare your writing with the model texts before you move on.
