AAPPL, STAMP 4S, ACTFL OPI and Seal of Biliteracy Chinese Practice

In the US, Chinese proficiency is measured on the ACTFL scale, from Novice up to Advanced and beyond. Schools use the AAPPL and STAMP 4S, which also count toward a state's Seal of Biliteracy, and adults take the ACTFL OPI or OPIc interview for teaching, study and work.

The school-test books suit about HSK 1 to 3, and the OPI book about HSK 3 to 5. By the end you have practised every part of your test, from speaking and typed writing to reading and listening, with model answers at two levels and free audio.

Seal of Biliteracy Chinese Practice covers the speaking and writing for STAMP 4S, AAPPL and ALTA. If your school uses AAPPL or STAMP 4S, add that test's own practice book for its reading and listening too.

What is in the AAPPL Chinese practice test?

Practice for all four AAPPL components, video-chat style speaking, presentational writing, reading and listening, in Form A and Form B, with model answers at two levels, a mock run and audio.

Is there ACTFL OPI practice for adults?

Yes. ACTFL OPI and OPIc Chinese Practice has interview questions that probe up a level, role plays with a complication, narration drills and WPT writing prompts, with model answers at Intermediate High and Advanced Low.
